http://old/scouting.org/jamboree/2010/index.html 2010 National Scout Jamboree There is a new Jamboree website, to get to it - you must type it into the address space of your browser - www.bsajamboree.org The Chief Cornplanter Council will be taking a contingent to the 2010 National Scout Jamboree. July 26 - August 4, 2010 at Fort A.P. Hill, Caroline County, Virginia Qualifications for Scouts:
> Scouts must attend Summer Camp, 2010
at Camp Olmsted. There will be no charge for Summer Camp for
Jamboree participants.
> All Scouts attending must have at
least 2 full summer Scout uniforms. We will be placing a large order
for uniform parts in the fall of 2009 and this should save everyone
some money.
> Cost to attend the 2010 National Scout
Jamboree is only $1,450. We've done our level-best to keep the fee
as low as possible. We've broken the payments into easy to manage
installments and all participants will receive a coupon payment book
upon paying their initial deposit. In addition, camperships will be
available and there will be other fund-raising opportunities which
will benefit the participants only and the Council will only use
these funds for the Jamboree and related expenses. IF YOU THINK IT
COSTS TOO MUCH TO AFFORD, YOU'RE WRONG. We wont deny any Scout who
wants to participate and has a financial need. Don't miss this
once-in-a-lifetime opportunity because you think you can't afford
it. This fee includes transportation, meals and lodging en route to
and from the jamboree, special patches, neckerchief, patrol and
troop equipment, a Jamboree training weekend, and a sightseeing trip
(2005 Jamboree went to Washington D.C.). A payment schedule will be
announced with installments due beginning Fall 2008, and the final
payment due February 2010.
TO REGISTER: All
