Statement of Purpose

It is the mission of the Chief Cornplanter Council and the Boy Scouts of America to serve others by helping to instill values in young people, and in other ways to prepare them to make ethical choices over their lifetime in achieving their full potential.  The values we strive to instill are based on those found in the Boy Scout Oath and Law.

The efforts of the council's marketing committee and webmaster were recognized at the 2001 National Meeting of the Boy Scouts of America with the presentation of the "National President's Award for Marketing Excellence." 

The Chief Cornplanter Council was presented the award for being judged the "Best Website" among all Class 51 and 52 council's across the nation.
